The Asia Foundation: Intimate Partner Violence Report

During my time at Melon Rouge, I worked on a sensitive and significant project for The Asia Foundation. The task was to address the delicate topics of intimate partner violence through a comprehensive set of reports. Given the challenging nature of these subjects, the design approach was crucial to ensure the information was accessible and digestible for the audience.

  • The project involved creating a report that presented difficult data and insights in a way that was user-friendly and approachable. To achieve this, we employed a design strategy that prioritized clarity and readability. We used clean layouts, a soothing color palette, and intuitive graphics to help convey the information without overwhelming the reader.

The report’s design incorporated visual elements that broke down complex data into more understandable segments, using infographics, charts, and illustrations. This approach made it easier for readers to engage with the material and grasp the critical points being presented. The goal was to foster a deeper understanding of the issues while being sensitive to the gravity of the content.

By making the report more accessible, we aimed to facilitate a broader discussion around intimate partner violence and its associated factors, such as alcohol abuse and gambling. The thoughtful design helped in presenting the data in a compassionate manner, encouraging readers to absorb the information and reflect on the necessary steps for change.

This project demonstrates my ability to handle sensitive topics with care and to use design as a tool to enhance comprehension and engagement. It highlights my commitment to creating impactful and meaningful work that respects both the subject matter and the audience.
