Violence Against Women

During my tenure at Melon Rouge in Cambodia, I had the privilege of working on a significant project for the World Health Organization (WHO). The assignment was to create and disseminate a comprehensive survey on violence against women in Cambodia. This project aimed to shed light on critical data and drive awareness and policy change in the country.

  • Our work resulted in the production of two detailed books and a compelling video, all designed to communicate the survey's findings effectively. The books provided in-depth analysis and insights, presenting the survey data in a clear and accessible format. These publications served as essential resources for policymakers, researchers, and advocates working to combat violence against women in Cambodia. The video highlighted the survey's key findings and personal stories, aiming to resonate with a broader audience and drive home the importance of addressing violence against women.

In addition to these materials, we organized an impactful event to present the key data and foster public discourse around this urgent issue. The event was designed to engage stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and the general public. It served as a platform to discuss the survey's implications and the necessary steps to address the issue at a national level.

The survey, along with the accompanying books and video, played a crucial role in raising awareness about violence against women in Cambodia. The project helped initiate conversations and actions towards revising policies and implementing effective measures to protect and empower women in the country. This project exemplifies my ability to handle complex social issues with sensitivity and impact, using a combination of research, creative communication, and public engagement to drive meaningful change.
